MP Group Chairman Luu Ho Quang Speaks at an International Conference on Mountain Homestays and Resort Destinations in Guizhou Province, China

On 21–22 September 2026, Mr Luu Ho Quang, Chairman of MP Group, attended and spoke at the 2026 Collaborative and Innovation Event for Mountain Homestays and Resort Destinations in Guizhou Province, China.

The event brought together international experts, managers, investors, operators and businesses in tourism, accommodation and destination development. The programme included specialist forums, practical case studies, discussions on tourism product innovation and opportunities for collaboration.

As a speaker, Mr Quang shared perspectives on the potential of mountain resort destinations, particularly the integration of natural resources, local culture, accommodation and wellness services into tourism ecosystems with depth and lasting value.

His participation reflected the active engagement of a Vietnamese business in an international forum. It also created opportunities to exchange experience, introduce Vietnam’s wellness tourism potential and connect with experts, operators and destination developers across the region.

Guizhou’s mountainous terrain, diverse landscapes and distinctive local cultures make its experience in homestay, resort and community tourism development particularly relevant to northern Vietnam.

For MP Group, the visit provided practical insights for the research and development of Hot Spring Wellness City in Lai Chau. The destination is envisioned to integrate hospitality, natural hot springs, wellness, preventive healthcare, technology, cultural experiences and community life. Conference discussions offered value in several areas.

Creating a Mountain Destination with Its Own Identity

HSC aims to become more than a resort: it seeks to be a destination with a story and enduring vitality. Northwest Vietnam’s landscapes, natural hot springs, local culture and community life will form important foundations for its distinctive identity.

Developing a Diverse Accommodation Ecosystem

Mountain homestays, boutique resorts, holiday villas, hotels and extended-stay accommodation offer useful lessons for developing products for different customer groups, from experiential travellers to guests seeking relaxation, recovery and longevity-focused stays.

Moving Towards Comprehensive Wellness Experiences

Natural advantages create greater value when translated into structured experiences. At HSC, natural hot springs could be combined with meditation, yoga, trekking, nutrition, sleep, physical recovery, stress management and proactive wellness programmes.

Connecting Development with Local Communities

Integrating local culture, cuisine, produce, traditional crafts and people into the visitor experience can deepen a destination’s appeal while supporting livelihoods, employment and sustainable economic value for host communities.

Expanding International Expert and Partner Networks

Through speaking and networking activities, MP Group was able to engage directly with international experts, consultants, operators and investors. These connections provide a foundation for HSC to adopt relevant experience, broaden partnerships and work towards international destination-development standards.

With the ambition to build a leading Wellness & Longevity Ecosystem Platform in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, MP Group views each international visit as an opportunity to connect knowledge, resources and partners with a shared vision.

From the forum in Guizhou to the development journey in Lai Chau, MP Group is working towards a consistent goal: transforming natural and cultural potential into lasting health, economic and social value.
